Getting Started

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! I am accepting new clients for weekday Tuesday to Friday appointments including evenings, typically from 9:30am-7:30pm PST. Additional times may be available by request. You can view my schedule through the online booking page.

How do I get started?

You can start by booking a 20-minute free consultation through the booking link. This allows us to connect and see if we are the right fit in working together before beginning therapy.

How does online counselling work?

You will need to create a login in the client portal where you can view available appointment times and schedule future sessions. On the day of your appointment, you will receive a link to join the video session.

How much do your services cost?

Sessions are $150 for 60 minutes and $215 for 90 minutes (taxes included). I reserve a limited number of sliding scale spots, offering income-based reduced rates for those facing financial barriers.

What types of therapeutic modalities do you use?

I utilize interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Parts Work Therapy. My overall approach is person-centred, anti-oppressive, and integrative, where I personalize therapy based on the unique needs of each person.

Location

Do you offer therapy in person?

I offer online therapy through a secure PIPEDA-compliant video platform. In-person therapy is not available at this time.

To which locations are you offering counselling services?

I am registered to provide clinical counselling to individuals across Canada, with the exception of residents of Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.

Appointments

Will my extended health benefits cover counselling services?

Counselling services are often covered, however since each plan is unique, I am unable to verify your coverage. Please check with your provider to see if counselling is covered under one of the following designations:

  • RTC 3084
    Registered Therapeutic Counsellor
Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT)
  • RPC-C 4551
    Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate
    Canadian Professional Counsellor Association (CPCA)

You will receive an email receipt immediately after your session to submit to your benefits provider for reimbursement.

How many sessions will I need?

This will depend on your individual circumstances. Generally, most clients notice improvement after 6-12 sessions and continue to make progress with regular, ongoing sessions.

It’s recommended to meet weekly to establish a strong therapeutic foundation and commitment to your progress. As you improve, you can space out sessions further. However, therapy is personal, and the number of sessions you choose to engage in is entirely up to you.

What happens if I arrive late to sessions?

If you arrive within 15 minutes late, your session will end as scheduled to respect other appointments booked for the day. If you arrive over 15 minutes late, the session will be cancelled, and the full fee will be charged.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your appointment will not incur a charge. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged the full session fee. Exceptions for emergencies or unexpected illness are considered case-by-case.

Let’s connect

As a settler, I express deep respect and gratitude for the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, and their unceded ancestral homelands. I am committed to supporting Truth & Reconciliation and encourage ongoing learning and unlearning in how we can stand in solidarity with Indigenous communities on Turtle Island through the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (nctr.ca).
