Online therapy
meeting you where you are

How can counselling help me?

Counselling is an investment in yourself. It is dedicated time to focus on your well-being and feel safe sharing what you are navigating internally. Although the support of loved ones is valuable, counselling is unique in offering a confidential and unbiased space to unpack your experiences with a trained professional.

My approach is to meet you where you are and honour your choice to address what is most important. Through a safe therapeutic alliance, we can connect the dots and uncover the root sources behind your challenges while building a roadmap to navigate difficult times. This process can lead to better self-understanding and a new outlook on the possibilities for your life.

Getting Started

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes! I am accepting new clients for weekday Monday to Friday appointments including evenings, typically from 9:30am-7:30pm PST. Additional times may be available by request. You can view my schedule through the online booking page.

How do I get started?

You can start by booking a 15-20 minute free consultation through the booking link. Alternatively, if you feel I am the right fit for you and you’re ready to begin therapy immediately, you can book an intake session.

How does online counselling work?

You will need to create a login in the client portal where you can view available appointment times and schedule future sessions. On the day of your appointment, you will receive a link to join the video session.

How much do your services cost?

Sessions are $125 for 60 minutes and $175 for 90 minutes. Clients are required to register their payment details on the secure client portal, and payment will be processed immediately after each session. Direct billing is offered with GreenShield plan members.

What types of therapeutic modalities do you use?

I utilize interventions informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Parts Work Therapy. My approach is person centred and integrative, where I personalize interventions based on the unique needs of each person.

Location

Do you offer therapy in person?

I offer online therapy through a secure PIPEDA-compliant video platform. In-person therapy is not available at this time.

To which locations are you offering counselling services?

I am registered to provide clinical counselling to individuals across Canada, with the exception of residents of Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. Please note that due to provincial regulations, there is limited space for residents of Ontario. While I am currently able to work with clients in Alberta, this may change depending on ongoing provincial regulations.

Appointments

Will my extended health benefits cover counselling services?

Counselling services may be fully or partially covered depending on the specific policy. Since each policy will vary, I am unable to verify your coverage. Please contact your plan administrator to confirm if counselling services are covered under one of the following designations:

  • RTC 3084
    Registered Therapeutic Counsellor
Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT)
  • RPC-C 4551
    Registered Professional Counsellor Candidate
    Canadian Professional Counsellor Association (CPCA)

Payment is charged immediately after sessions. You will be emailed a receipt which you can use to submit to your benefits provider for reimbursement.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed depends on your individual circumstances. Each person has different areas of concern and required levels of support. Many clients notice improvement after about six sessions and choose to continue counselling proactively to further their progress, building confidence and stability in their lives.

For deeper topics involving trauma recovery, it is recommended to meet weekly in order to build a therapeutic foundation. You may space out sessions further the more you progress. However, therapy is personal and the number of sessions you engage in is your personal choice as a client.

What happens if I arrive late to sessions?

If you arrive within 15 minutes late, your session will end as scheduled to respect other appointments booked for the day. If you arrive over 15 minutes late, the session will be cancelled, and the full fee will be charged.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made with over 24 hours notice before your appointment time will not incur any charges. However, if you cancel within 24 hours of your scheduled time, the full fee for the session will be charged. Exceptions for emergencies and unexpected illnesses will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
